We understand the importance of finding an adviser who is right for you, so we have a compiled a list of frequently asked questions about our services to help explain how we work and how we can help you.
Why do you charge a fee for an initial consultation?
Immigration law can be complex, and for our advisers to be able to give you the best advice tailored to your situation, they need to thoroughly prepare and explore the specific details of your case. The fee is to cover the time and care our advisers put into every consultation, including a detailed written follow-up.
If you decide to instruct your adviser for full assistance after your consultation, the initial consultation fee will be deducted from your total fee.
How do I pay my fees and when are payments due?
You can pay your fees one of three ways:
- Bank transfer (preferred)
- Payment link (by request)
- Cash at your in-person appointment
We ask that you pay the initial consultation fee before your appointment, or on the day if you are paying with cash.
If you have instructed us for full assistance, we typically ask that half the payment is paid before work begins, with the remaining half to be paid before your application is submitted. Your payment schedule will be confirmed in your client care letter.
We work on a fixed fees basis meaning that the amount we quote is the amount you pay with no hidden costs. Please visit our fees page for more information about our fee ranges.
Do you offer services under Legal Aid?
We do not have a Legal Aid contract.
If we believe you might be eligible for Legal Aid, we will let you know so you can seek out solicitors that might be able to help you under Legal Aid.
Can you help me find a job or employer?
We cannot help find an employer for you. However, we can give advice regarding immigration issues such as right to work.
Do you deal with cases outside of the UK?
We only deal with UK immigration law and therefore only take on cases related to immigration into the UK.
However, our services can be accessed globally and we help clients worldwide with their UK immigration issues. We offer remote services via phone, email, and video call.
Do you deal with appeals?
Katherine is a level 3 adviser which means she can help with appeals if your application has the right of appeal.
Do you take on urgent cases?
It is possible for us to help with urgent cases, but we unfortunately do not always have the capacity to take these types of cases on due to the critical nature of their deadlines.
If we cannot take your urgent case on, we will be transparent about this and recommend you seek help elsewhere to try and ensure your case is being dealt with in the timely manner that is necessary for such situations.
